Regional Bidding Forecast to be delivered on September 19

The Chamber, Springfield Contractors Association, and Missouri State University will present survey results from the second annual Springfield Regional Bidding Forecast Survey on Friday, September 19.

Held at the Darr Agricultural Building from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, the event will inform the community of anticipated construction activity for the next 6 – 8 months. Anyone in the construction industry or related fields is encouraged to attend.

The presentation will focus on data gathered from a survey of design firms, developers and project owners in the Springfield region. Following the survey results, a panel discussion will focus on workforce development, economic development, and adjustments made by the key players in the local construction industry.
Presenters will include Doug Sampson, architect with Missouri State University, and Rick Quint, owner of Q & Company. A five-member panel presentation will include:

• Ryan Mooney, Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce
• Tom Rankin, Sperry Van Ness/Rankin Company
• Gil Rieman, PCG Construction
