All endorsed “Proposals” for construction shall be mailed to or delivered to the attention of Rob Rector, at Ozarks Technical Community College (Springfield Campus), 1001 E. Chestnut Expressway, Springfield, Missouri 65802, no later than 2:00 p.m., CDT, Thursday, December 01, 2011 (time shall be determined by the clock in the Board Room). A public bid opening will be held at that time in the Information Commons second floor Board Room and bids will be opened and tabulated. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. shall be returned unopened.
Drawings and Specifications and related contract information may be obtained beginning November 10, 2011, from the Springfield Blueprint Co. online plan room, www.spfdblue.com, at cost of printing. Plans and specifications may also be reviewed at the offices of the Civil Engineer, Rozell Engineering, 2404 State Hwy. 248, Suite 4, Branson, Missouri 65616 or the Architect’s office Baron Design & Associates, LLC 1855 S. Ingram Mill, Suite 201, Springfield, Missouri 65804.

The bidder understands that Ozarks Technical Community College reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder and to reject any or all bids and / or to waive any technicalities or informalities in the bidding.
BID SECURITY:
Bids are to be submitted on the Bid Form issued with the Construction Documents and must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee (Bid Bond) equivalent to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. See Instructions to Bidders for additional information. Surety/Bonding Company must be acceptable to the Owner and be authorized to transact business in the state of Missouri.
PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND:
A Performance Bond and Payment Bond are required of the successful Bidder in the amount of 100 percent of the contract.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE:
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., November 18, 2011, at the Town Hall, 312 Esplanade, Hollister, Missouri 65673. Weather permitting, a site visit will follow after the meeting.
SCHEDULE:
Bidders must submit a Work Schedule with their Bid.
BID PERIOD:
November 10, 2011 through December 01, 2011.
PREVAILING WAGES:
Prevailing wages shall be paid in accordance with the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders.
TAX EXEMPT STATUS:
This project requires application of tax exempt status on behalf of the Owner.
PROJECT COMPLETION:
Civil Work for this project must substantially prepare and complete the building pad by April 2, 2012. Liquidated damages of $1,500 per calendar day will apply after this date.
