Architects Liason Dave Foreman 868-6700
The Architects Liaison Committee has created the Bid Date Calendar for our website and the Suggested Bidding Procedures now in use on almost all local projects. Currently the committee is discussing availability of plans.
Developer of the Year/Architect of the Year Kris Evans 864-5500
The Developer of the Year Committee chooses the recipient of each year’s award from nomination forms submitted by members. The committee also selects the Architect of the Year and Engineer of the Year when those honors are earned. The awards are presented at the annual Salute to Construction Banquet in November.
Golf Outings Steve Baer 865-5561
The Golf Outing Committee is responsible for setting up and taking down Hole Sponsor signs and for the beverage distribution system during the Spring and Summer Golf Outings. This committee is not recommended for those who want to play.
Government Liaison - Building Mike Holland 447-3111
The Governmental Liaison Committee meets with representatives from the City, City Utilities, Greene County, AIA and MSPE. They continue to resolve issues to make the local building process more efficient.
Government Liaison - Public Works Cliff Kennedy 864-4605
This branch of the Government Liaison Committee is now forming to address matters concerning public works, utilities and heavy & highway type projects. The purpose is to improve working relations and promote harmony while providing the public higher quality and timely projects by bringing government and private firms together and proactively addressing and resolving areas of concern.

The Holiday Party Committee plans the annual party held the first Friday in December.

The Membership & Public Relations Committee is responsible for recruitment and retention of members. Networking opportunities in connection with this year’s Membership Roundup are now under discussion.

The MSU Liaison Committee meets monthly with the University’s design and construction department to share information about upcoming projects.
OTC Liaison Committee Dave Robertson 869-7350
The OTC Liaison Committee meets quarterly to offer advice and support to the College on construction issues.
Pig Roast Mark Elwood 865-9660
The Pig Roast Committee is made up of two parts: the planning committee meets preceding the event. And then, we need about 40 more volunteers to actually work during the event.
Safety, Health & OSHA Mary Beeson 881-4820
The Safety, Health & OSHA Committee is working with Bituminous to address safety issues for members as identified through the Safety Group Insurance Program. Seminars and training sessions are outreach opportunities identified by this committee.
Salute to Construction Liaison Jared Walker 823-2100
The Salute to Construction Liaison represents SCA on the Salute Council. Many SCA members volunteer annually to speak at Salute Career Days.
SCAPAC (Springfield Contractors Association Political Action Committee) Bill Nesbitt 866-6199
SCAPAC discusses local political issues and makes recommendations for endorsement. The committee also raises funds for contributions to support issues of interest to the construction community.
Scholarship Doug Fronick 868-6700
The Scholarship Committee meets during the spring to select the recipients of each year’s awards through the application and interview process. This committee also helps raise funds for annual scholarships and the endowment fund to be established with the Community Foundation.
Springfield Public Schools Liaison Cheryl Griffeth 862-9700
The Springfield R-XII Liaison Committee meets monthly with the School District to offer advice and provide insight into the construction process for the benefit of the community.
Workforce Development Bill Nesbitt 866-6199
A new Workforce Development Committee has been created to discover ways SCA can work with other groups to identify and train our future employees.
