Notice to Contractors

Sealed bids will be accepted for the following project on the bid date shown below

Interior Remodel of McDonald Hall at Crowder College, 6,800 sf

This Project is in cooperation with Crowder College.
The project includes:

Demolition of existing layout of third floor west wing and construction of new classroom layout, including new ceilings, floor finish, and paint.
Bid Alternate for demolition of second floor existing computer lab and associated storage room, provide two new classrooms along with two new storage rooms and a widened lobby area outside of new classrooms. Work includes new ceilings, floor finish, and paint.
Bid Alternate. In order provide access to the newly constructed Davidson Hall Office 150 needs remodeled on the first floor to allow for hallway access to connection corridor to Davidson Hall.
HVAC alterations include the addition of Heat Pumps to existing ground source system and relocating salvaged mini-split system units.
Standard Electrical devices and light fixtures included in remodel. Several light fixtures are salvaged from demolition of existing spaces.
Demolition is to include existing floor finish removal over existing asbestos tile removal.
Bid Alternate to removed existing glass block windows and provide new windows within areas of remodel.
Bid Alternate to remove existing second floor computer lab windows and provide new.

Pre Bid meeting will be held at Crowder College in Farber Hall in the Wright Conference Center on March 25^th, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.

Anticipated start date of construction is May 23rd, 2011. Substantial completion is required to be no later than August 5^th, 2011.

Plans and specifications for the project are available through Engineers Reprographics (417) 869-2222 or online plan room at http://www.erplanroom.com

A refundable deposit of $30.00 per set of contract documents will be required for each set of plans and specifications. The deposit must be in the form of a company check. These deposits will be returned if the documents are returned to Engineers Reprographics within 10 days from bid opening with no marks or tears on the plans or specifications which would make them unusable.
