This past month, the University received good news out of Jefferson City. Missouri State University will receive state funds toward the renovation of Ellis Hall and Hill Hall. These renovations will begin with a $7.7M project on Ellis Hall, which should be out for bid in time to allow for the beginning of construction in May of 2016. This first project should be completed by the summer of 2017. Renovations for Hill Hall, with a project budget of $9.5M, will begin in May of 2017, and is slated for completion during the summer of 2018. We are excited to begin the much needed updates to these two facilities!

Design work continues on the addition and renovation of Glass Hall. Plans for this project, with an estimated construction cost of $20M, are scheduled to be issued for bid in August, followed by a September bid date, and an award in October. Construction will follow immediately after the award in order for completion before the fall semester of 2017.

As a department, we appreciate all the hard work everyone in the construction industry does for Missouri State University. Together, we are building a better Missouri State University.
