MSU Construction Look Ahead

Winter appears to be arriving this week after having an extended warm fall season.  This will be a good time to turn your attention to bidding projects from the warmth of your offices.  Below are projects planned for bidding on our campus for the next three months.  One of these projects, a $3.8M project is for our West Plains campus.  If you have any interest in these projects or have questions concerning these or others, please contact our office so we may assist you.

Parking Lot & Drainage Improvements, Mountain Grove Campus                   
Project Description:  This project adds a new parking lot and drainage system on the Mountain Grove campus, located adjacent to Shepard and Faurot Halls.

Consultant:  CJW Transportation Consultants, LLC
Estimated Construction Cost:  $101,000

Issue for Bid:  January 10, 2017
Bid Opening:  January 24, 2017
Award of Contract:  February 15, 2017
Start of Construction:  March 6, 2017

Rework Student Room Ceilings, Woods House
Project Description:  This project consists of scraping off the existing acoustical material, installing drywall, and painting the ceilings in the student rooms.

Consultant:  MSU Planning, Design & Construction
Estimated Construction Cost:  $150,000
Issue for Bid:  January 17, 2017

Bid Date:  January 31, 2017

Award of Contract:  February 15, 2017
Start of Construction:  Summer 2017

Living Room Draperies, Sunvilla Tower
Project Description:  This project will provide and install new draperies and hardware. The existing sheers will be reused.
Consultant:  MSU Planning, Design & Construction
Estimated Construction Cost:  $130,000
Issue for Bid:  January 17, 2017
Bid Date:  January 31, 2017

Award of Contract:  February 15, 2017
Start of Construction:  Upon award

Plaza Addition to the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
Project Description:  Construct a landscaped plaza to complement the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center. The project should complete in time to allow for landscaping installation in spring 2017.
Consultant:  MSU Planning, Design & Construction
Estimated Construction Cost:  $160,000
Issue for Bid:  January 19, 2017
Bid Date:  February 2, 2017

Award of Contract:  February 15, 2017
Start of Construction:  Upon Award

Renovation of Hass-Darr Hall, West Plains Campus                             
Project Description:  This project replaces the existing shading system, the existing evaporative cooling system, and the existing ventilation window system with new systems that improve sustainable measures within the greenhouse.
Consultant:  Dake-Wells Architecture
Estimated Construction Cost:  $3,800,000
Issue for Bid:  January 16, 2017
Bid Opening:  February 7, 2017
Award of Contract:  February 15, 2017
Start of Construction:  Upon Award

Replace Climate Control Systems, Karls Hall                          
Project Description:  This project replaces the existing shading system, the existing evaporative cooling system, and the existing ventilation window system with new systems that improve sustainable measures within the greenhouse.
