MSU’s 3 Mo. Look Ahead for October

October is here and the weather is starting to cool telling us fall is on the way.  Our office continues to be busy with bidding some projects this fall while gearing up for a busy 2016.  The following are the projects we currently have scheduled over the next 3 months.

Branding Phase II, Davis-Harrington Welcome Center

Project Description:  Additional branding or storytelling will be added to the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center. Five large 8′ x 8′ hinged panels will be constructed for graphics to be applied and changed out as the University desires. Owner-supplied electronic monitors will be embedded into one side of the wall panels, and a fixed panel will be applied to display graphics reinforcing Missouri State University’s sustainability goals.   This project has a different scope of work to be done over an earlier release of a branding project.

Install Additional Linesets, Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

Project Description:  Modifications are needed at Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts to accommodate touring shows.  Six new linesets and four chain motors will be installed.  The electrical system will also be upgraded as part of the work.

Award of Contract:  November 18, 2015
Start of Construction:  November 28, 2015

 

 

Tornado Community Storm Shelter, Sunvilla West

Project Description:  This project constructs a FEMA-rated safe room west of the existing Sunvilla residence hall.  The new facility, while adjacent to the existing Sunvilla Tower facility, is independent from this structure with only small modifications to the existing building where the transition is to occur.

Estimated Construction Cost:  $1,500,000.00

Renovate Existing Elevator, Baker Bookstore

Project Description:  Project renovates the existing elevator at Baker Bookstore. The project also corrects minor deficiencies in the elevator sump and equipment room to bring the installation into compliance with current elevator code requirements.

Estimated Construction Cost:  $100,000

Bid Opening:  November 5, 2015
Award of Contract:  November 19, 2015
Start of Construction:  February 1, 2015
