2015 Board Elections will be conducted in July and August. Board Members attend monthly meetings at the SCA Building and are billed $120 annually to cover lunch costs. Board Members are responsible for the major decisions shaping our future and are expected to take leadership roles on committees and at our social functions. If you would like to be considered for nomination to the Board of Directors, please call the office – 862-1313.

SCA Summer Golf Outing – Friday, August 8, 2014 – Sponsors Wanted: Hole Sponsors make a $100 donation and we’ll furnish the sign for the tee-box. Beverage & Snack Sponsors contribute $100 each toward the refreshments. We also need volunteers for beverage cart duties. Freebies: We welcome contributions of towels, balls, tees, etc. for the golfers. Call the office at 862-1313 and let us know what you’ve got to share or to sponsor or volunteer. This will again be a four-man scramble in both morning and afternoon sessions (if the morning session draws at least 32 golfers). Prizes will be awarded for two places in three flights, plus Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.

The Chicken BBQ Scholarship Fundraiser will be Thursday, September 11. The choice of a date later than the traditional worked well last year, giving us cooler weather for a more enjoyable evening and giving the MSU students more time to get involved. We will again partner with the enthusiastic young people of the Construction Specifications Institute and the Springfield Rugby Club. The event will again be held on the Rugby Club’s field west of town. Our share of the proceeds will go into the Scholarship Endowment Fund. We need some good volunteers to help with this scholarship fundraiser. Call the office (862-1313) if you want to help.
