SCA Spring Golf Tournament

It was cool and a little wet, but that didn’t stop the 193 golfers who came to play last Friday at Hidden Valley. Fifty sponsors helped us to clear over $11,000 which will help the association.
Everyone enjoyed the grilled burgers for lunch and the beverages flowed freely. Thanks to Rob and Connie Alberty, Mitch and the entire staff who helped make the day so successful.

 Steve Baer, the Golf Chairman, kept the coolers full and the carts moving so well there was not one complaint that “we haven’t seen a beverage cart in hours!”  We appreciate the help we received from all our other volunteers who contributed their time and talents dispensing cool snacks and drinks to the thirsty golfers: Michael Eddings, Paul Hulett, Larry Kendrick, Amanda Mayers, Georgia Powell, Jim Rippy, Kara Turner, Allen Schroeder, and Tracy Watkins.

Ted Harrison raised $908 for the Endowment Fund by selling “free shots” on hole  #9. Half the skins money is also dedicated to the Endowment Fund. Central Bank, Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance and Guaranty Bank provided koozies and tees. Springfield Blue donated the laminated sponsor signs.
