The mechanical system on the third floor of Cheek Hall will be renovated under this contract. The current system is old and outdated. The entire system needs to be replaced with a system that can meet current code requirements. As part of the classroom upgrades project done during the summer of 2010, the classrooms on the third floor have been reworked and are ready to receive the new mechanical system to be installed under this work. In addition, restrooms on the first floor of Cheek Hall will be renovated as part of the base bid. An alternate is included in this work to renovate all three floors of the restrooms in Kings Street Annex.
