Obituary for Mark Banden

Mark Banden, 59, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 5th from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel.
Mark was born November 5, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to Joseph and Dolores (Damon) Banden as one of three boys. He graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for over 36 years for OSHA as a Compliance Assistance Specialist. After his retirement he started Banden Safety and Health Services, doing consulting. He was passionate about his work and well respected. At home, he enjoyed family gatherings with plenty of food, drinks, games and laughter. He is remembered as good humored, fun, and a loving person with an extremely high moral compass. He is loved and will be missed.
Mark leaves behind wife of 23 years, Wendy of the home; daughters, Dominique Gordon (Brian) of Blue Springs, MO; Abigail and Melissa Banden of Kansas City, MO; and Angelina Manzella of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Austin and Isabella Gordon; brothers, Gregg Banden of Deland, FL; and Father Joseph Banden of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mark would encourage contributions on behalf of his brother to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in lieu of flowers.
