MSU’s 3 Mo Look Ahead for September

  • News

September is here and the year will quickly be coming to an end. We have had a busy summer and are now just starting to think about projects for 2016. This week we have started the search for a consultant to work with us on the renovation of Ellis Hall. This project will be about a $6M – $6.3M construction project. The schedule calls for the construction to begin June 1, 2016, and be complete by May 31, 2017. We will be working with the chosen consultant to establish a bid date that helps the contractor meet these dates. Additional residence hall work will be prepared for bidding over the next few months, and we anticipate several more projects issued for bidding as well.

I would like to bring to your attention to the Branding of the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center project.  This project is currently out for bid and has a short bidding and construction period.  It will have a significant impact on visitors to campus as they first enter the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center.

The plans for the Renovation and Addition to Glass Hall are also now available for bidding.  The time frame for the construction of this project is expected to be approximately two years.

If you would like to be a part of these exciting changes occurring on our campus, please take some time to review the plans and specifications available on our website through this link: Plans Available for Bidding.

Project Title:  Branding of the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center

Project Description:  Additional branding or storytelling will be added to the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center.  Five large 8’x8’ hinged panels will be constructed for graphics to be applied and changed out as the University desires.  Owner-supplied electronic monitors will be embedded into one side of the wall panels, and a fixed panel will be applied to display graphics reinforcing Missouri State University’s sustainability goals. MSU branding will continue on the second floor of this facility.
