The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits at the Summer Golf Tournament on August 12th!

The morning players had a pretty good day to sharpen their skills, but the afternoon players were forced to give it up as a downpour stopped play after only 9 holes.

Thanks to Island Green for making sure everyone had a great time. We had 155 golfers compete in the morning and afternoon sessions.
Thanks to Steve Baer and Paul Hulett who made sure the coolers stayed full and the Sponsor signs were displayed. Thanks to our cart drivers for dispensing cool drinks to our golfers:: Gail Smith, Sheila Shirrell, Allison Coonrod, Amber Struemph, Georgia Powell, Shannon Handwerker, Stacey Claypool, Lyndall Magers, Allen Schroeder and Tracy Watkins. Miles Boyer and Teddy Harrison( an SCA Scholarship winner) raised $760 for the Scholarship Fund in the Student Short Shot and Georgia Powell and the other cart drivers brought in another $93 for scholarships and with no skins payout, we kept $387.50 for skins, we collected $1240.50 for this year’s scholarships.
