Springfield Contractors Association announces new Executive Director

Springfield, Missouri – The Springfield Contractors Association is pleased to announce Megan Short as the new Executive Director.  Short officially assumed her new role on July 6, 2017.

Previously, Megan was the Communications Coordinator for the City of Springfield’s Department of Workforce Development and the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board. She brings her experience in workforce development, event planning, community relations, and marketing to the Springfield Contractors Association. Short received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and Master in Business Administration from Missouri State University.

Short says of her new position, “The Springfield Contractors Association has been a great organization to work with on a variety of projects. I am excited for this opportunity to work closely with an industry that is vital to the economic development of the Springfield Area.”

The SCA Board began the search for a new Executive Director in April 2017 as a response to Interim Executive Director Kathy Baer’s decision to retire. Baer will continue with the Springfield Contractors Association for the transition. She has been with the association for 24 years and will be greatly missed.
