Ozark High School Career Day

SCA Members visited Ozark High School on Friday, October 27th to discuss career opportunities in the Construction & Trades industry. Thank you Danny Edwards (Connelly Plumbing, Heating & Air), Dave Ewing (Ewing Signal Construction), Derick Barnes (Laborers Union 663) and Tony Blackstock (Carpenters Union 978) for volunteering!

Several schools have contacted SCA for speakers for classes and Career Days. Additional SCA members are needed. If you or someone in your office would be willing to assist, please contact Megan at 417-862-1313 or megan@springfieldcontractors.org. Workforce has been a key issue for the construction industry, and coordinating with area schools is one way to recruit future workers to the industry.

Business to Business Expo

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Business to Business Expo at the Expo Center on Thursday, November 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are interested in stopping by, they have offered free tickets online using the promotion code EXPLORE on their Eventbrite page.

Generation Next Fall Pro-Talk

Generation Next is presenting the Fall Pro-Talk on Tuesday, November 14, from 5-6:30 p.m at the SCA Office. Dinner will be served. The Pro-Talk will consist of a panel of Board Members and the new Executive Director. Please submit questions prior to the event to Vice President Stacie Ramos or Megan Short at the SCA Office.
