March General Membership Meeting

The March General Membership Meeting is tomorrow! With email spoofing, spam, and worse getting more sophisticated, we will be discussing things to watch for in emails and how to keep your data safe.

We will also have brief presentations from the City of Springfield and Springfield Public Schools regarding the upcoming ballot issues.

Generation Next Core Group Meeting

The March Generation Next Core Group Meeting is next Tuesday. If you’re interested in learning more about the young professional segment of the SCA, come check out the meeting!

Generation Next is the 40 and under group of the Springfield Contractors Association. The Generation Next Core Group has monthly meetings and invites all SCA members to participate in social events and community service opportunities.

Build My Future

The third annual Build My Future Construction Showcase for high school students will be here before you know it! Build My Future is a partner event between several associations, groups, and businesses.

The deadline for sponsorships is just a couple of weeks away! There are already over 1,400 students registered. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with our future workforce by volunteering at the SCA exhibit, volunteering at the event as a whole, hosting your own exhibit, or sponsoring the event.

Ways to get involved:

Sponsorhips – Sponsorships are available at $5,000, $2,500, $1,000, and $500. Check out the Sponsorship Levels to see what is included in each, then return the Sponsor Form by March 15th to be included on t-shirts.

Exhibits – Indoor and outdoor space is available for exhibits at a $100 fee (waived for all sponsors). All exhibits must include a hands on activity for the students. We encourage everyone to think outside the box for activities that showcase your piece of the industry. Exhibit forms will be taken until all space is reserved. Reserve your spot by returning the Exhibit Form.

Exhibit setup will mostly be completed the day before with times assigned based on the size of the exhibit. Final touches must be completed by 8:15 am the day of the event.

Volunteer – Not sure you’re ready to be a sponsor or an exhibit? Come volunteer! You can volunteer at the SCA Exhibit or just as an event volunteer.
